About Dan

Dan studied and worked in architecture and engineering all of his adult life. It is ingrained firmly but so is art, since childhood. Dan has previous experience in ink drawings, watercolour and acrylics and will at times go back to them but has chosen oil painting as his preferred medium since 2019. Inspired by other artists, Dan has adopted a loose painting style, often related to architectural settings with emphasis on composition, light, colour harmony and atmospheric perspective. Dan now devotes much of his time to art in the studio, plein-air painting with friends and sketching while on trips.
